Macaroni grill

The very best restaurant, Italian family style, is the Romano Macaroni Grill. My family eats there regularly and we have many favorite dishes. If you also have favorites at the Macaroni Grill, you will love to read on and discover some of the ingredients in their signature dishes.

The first restaurant opened in Leon Springs, Texas in 1988 as a direct competitor of the Olive Garden restaurant. The largest Macaroni Grill restaurant is located in Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Most of the dishes offered at the restaurant are traditional in nature with their own signature variation. They offer pasta, pizza and salads as well as a large childrens menu available to children 12 and under. They also offer classic dishes such as ravioli, spaghetti and lasagna. The dining tables are covered with a white sheet of paper, so the kids (or kids at heart) can color, write or draw on top of them!

The Bella Napoli appetizer (basically Italian style nachos), uses deep fried pasta sheets with an asiago cream sauce (whipping cream, chicken soup base, asiago cheese and cornstarch). The fried chips are topped with the cream sauce and then sprinkled with sausage, tomatoes, peppers, olives, mozzarella and more asiago cheese; then baked until the cheese is golden brown.

The best restaurant, Italian or otherwise, always has a most popular appetizer on the menu such as the baked creamy seafood appetizer. It is scallops, shrimp and clams in a Parmesan asiago cheese sauce. It is baked and presented with fried won ton chips to dip in the saucy dish.

Chicken Scaloppini is one of tehe best favorite at the Macaroni Grill. It is, basically, chicken breast (pounded thin), dredged in flour and sauted in a frying pan; it is turned once, until brown and cooked through. Mushrooms, artichoke hearts and capers are then added and cooked with the chicken. The final dish is topped with a heavy cream sauce (including lemon juice, white wine and butter) and served with cappellini pasta. The lovely dish is garnished with parsley. Veal Scaloppini is also available.
